Amanda Cabral

Amanda is excited to be stepping into her new role as a graduate clinical intern at Praxis, continuing her journey toward becoming a professional counselor as she pursues her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University. For the past three years, she has likely been the first contact you encountered as our intake coordinator. Through that role, Amanda developed a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support—and she is passionate about walking alongside others as they take that brave first step.

Rooted in her Christian faith, Amanda believes in the power of hope, healing, and redemption. She sees counseling as sacred space—where people are invited to show up fully, process honestly, and move toward growth with grace and courage. Her nearly ten years in church ministry, along with her work at The Well, a Center for Hope and Healing, have shaped her compassionate and relational approach to care. Whether faith is an important part of a client’s story or not, Amanda strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment for all.

Outside the therapy room, Amanda and her husband are raising their three kids and caring for their very old (and very beloved) dog, Gibbs. She loves exploring new places with her family, relaxing at the beach, and ending the day around a backyard fire pit.
