Sara Halsey

Sara Halsey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing counseling, crisis intervention, and support to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Sara earned her graduate degree in Social Work from Rutgers University.  She has worked across schools, healthcare, in-home and community-based settings.  Sara is skilled in individual, group, and family therapy, and has facilitated support groups for those coping with grief, illness, and life transitions.

Sara believes in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to build resilience and make positive changes. She is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and develop practical coping strategies.  Operating from a strengths-focused approach, Sara draws on evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness.

Outside of her work, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Together, they love exploring nature, hiking, and of course, going to the beach.
